HOMERUN DERBY RULES & INFORMATION
1. $5 for 6 swings of the bat that result in a ball in play.
2. The homerun derby will take place in 2 sessions on SUNDAY at Sky River Field #3
3. Session #1: 11:15 - 11:45am
4. Session #2: 1:30pm - 2:00pm
5. Each session will have a price for 1st place
The following rules apply to our homerun derby:
• All Little League rules for bats at Rule 1.10 apply.
• A ball in play constitutes any ball that has been struck that is not considered a foul tip.
• Only coaches are allowed on the field to pitch to homerun derby contestants
• An L-Screen will be on the field and must be used.
• All players participating must wear approved batting helmets.
• Homeruns are judged as balls that clear the outfield fence in the air and are deemed
fair balls.
• Players may pay for an additional 6 balls in play but the total is not accumulative, the best
total for the player will be used.
• In the event of a tie, a hit-off will decide the winner between the participants.
• All determinations will be made by the Homerun Derby Coordinator.
• Entrance fee for participants is cash only.
• 12U contestants will hit from home plate.
• 8U contestants will hit from 2nd base.
