Humor in the Classroom
After a lesson on metaphor , the teacher asked the
class to describe each other including teacher using
metaphor. A student raised his hand and said:
“Ma’am, you are music to me”. The teacher was very
much delighted and asked why. The student said ,
“ because your eyes are sharp and your nose is
flat!”
Humor in the Classroom
Teacher : Ben, your essay on “My
Dog” is exactly the same as your
brother’s . Did you copy it?
Ben: No, Ma’am. It’s the same dog.
Humor at Home
Grandson: Grandpa, am so inspired that up to
now you call Grandma “sweetheart”!
Grandpa: Come here, grandson. Don’t ever tell
this to Grandma. You see I’ve forgotten her
name!

Our Next Workshop
Formulation of new PSGs that integrate
ICT-pedagogy
New PSGs for Teacher Education ?
 If expected output is New PSGs for Teacher
Education
-Revise the existing Revised PSGs for Teacher
Education?
-Consider making ICT integration more explicit in
the 5 most ICT –related Competency standards
New PSGs for Teacher Education?
 Consider the ICT- strand and the corresponding
ICT performance indicator in the NCBTS.
 Consider ICT competencies in the TSNA.
Something to Think About
In the light of the K to 12, ICT-related research
findings and global demands , the present NCBTS
developed in 2007 and CMO 30, 2004 ( Revised
Teacher Education Curriculum) are being revisited
and will be revised soon.
Which is better?
Formulate PSGs for teacher education as a
whole which include ICT integration?
Or
Formulate an independent set of ICTPedagogy PSGs ?
The decision is ours!
