be read later.
6:00: OPENING CEREMONY:
6:05: Game: Game: Slip Slop Slap (Captains Coming Variation)
Joeys move around the area following instructions from leaders.
Hats: Form hat over head with arms.
Sunscreen: Rubbing action on arms and face.
Sunglasses: Shape fingers into sunglasses and put over eyes.
Sunburn: Fall on floor screaming.
T-shirt: Put t shirts on.
It’s Afternoon/Morning: Joeys play in the middle of the Hall.
It’s midday: Joeys run to wall to represent shade.
6:10: Game: Life Saving Relay: Joeys in relay teams. Each team has a long rope
and a sack. Joeys throw the rope to the other end. That Joey sits on the sack and
gets pulled back to the team.
6:20: Craft:
6:30: Activity: Promise Fish: Joeys in small groups. Each has a fishing rod.
Joeys catch plastic fish with the words of the Promise which are in the clam
shells and rearrange in the correct order.
6:35: Story: Action Story – At the Beach (See story below)
Joeys take shoes and socks off and sit around paddle pools filled with water. As
the Leader reads the story, the Joey with that picture pinned onto them (from
coming in activity) jump into the paddle pool and splash about.
6:40: Game: Circle Squirt: Joeys seated in a circle. One Joey has a bottle and
drops it behind another Joey who has to race around the circle and back to that
place while the Joey with the bottle chases them squirting them with the water.
6:50: Activity: Water bomb throw: Joeys throw water bombs at a target which
has the words Joey Scouts Have Fun. (Then throw at each other!)
