Dear NACA Families;
Hello! Happy Fall Season! We have begun preparing for our 8th Annual Community
Celebration and Feast to be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at NACA.
The event brings together staff, students, families and community to share in a day of celebration
for the number of years that our school has been in existence. It is a way to say thank you to our
supporters who have positively contributed to the development of our school.
The theme of our event is: NACA…Growing Leaders though Service. Please encourage your
child(ren) to wear their traditional/cultural clothing for this important event.
Food Donations and Volunteer Assistance
Each year, our event grows larger so we can expect to feed close to 800-1000 people on this day.
We are requesting your assistance at this very important and large event to bring a dish to share
for the Community Feast. NACA will be providing oven bread and tamales.
_____Main Dish (i.e. stews, beans, casseroles, chile, etc.)(all 6th/ 7th/11th graders& Advisors)
_____Side Dish/Salad (i.e. salad, rice, vegetable trays, etc.) (all 8th, 9th 10th graders & Advisors)
_____Fruit and Fruit Trays (all 12th graders &Advisors)
_____2 Cases of Bottled Water (NON ADVISORS, Support Staff and other Program Staff)
We are also requesting your assistance to volunteer in the following areas: Guest Check In table,
Drinks Set up, Food Set up and Servers, Trash Crew, Greeters and Ushers, Parking Lot
Monitors, Volunteer Sign-up Table, Tables and Chairs Set-up and Boys and Girls Dressing
Room Monitors.
This day is busy, full of fun, interaction and good food. It is a time to visit with one another, meet
up with old friends and meet new ones. In the spirit of community, we welcome you to join us
with your support and assistance.
