He has currently relocated from South Maypole Surgery and is helping us cope with access during Dr Miskin’s continuing absence. Please make sure you allow enough time for your requests to be processed and vaccines to be ordered in. Anyone requiring holiday vaccinations will need to complete the Holiday Vaccination form in advance of their appointment with the nurse these can be obtained from Reception or our website – we require at least six weeks’ notice prior to your travel date to enable the vaccines to be effective. generated or you are required to make an appointment. __________________________ We are currently sending more and more updates and appointment reminders through text messaging software. REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS We are also running with Locum Doctors including Dr Parnell (female GP) who we have worked with before to help with patient access. __________________________ NEW SERVICE FAMILY PLANNING CLINICS Dr Zakai (female GP) is currently running fortnightly family planning clinics – she is able to fit/remove/check coils – administer implants and consult on family planning issues. If you require annual Pill Checks then these can be undertaken by the Practice Nurses. Reception can help with any queries. TRAVEL VACCINATIONS We require at least 48 hours to process prescriptions, this enables the Prescription Clerks enough time to generate your requests and for the Doctors to sign them off. Unfortunately we do not have the capacity to take medication requests over the telephone. Repeat medication requests have to be writing to prevent errors and for audit purposes. We accept requests by email, online through our website and in person at the desk – thank you for your co-operation. PLEASE NOTE if you have been advised that your request has been put on the ‘Query Pad’ it is your responsibility to call the surgery after 2 o’clock to enquire as to whether your prescription has been MOBILE/TELEPHONE NUMBERS Please can you let reception know if you change your telephone number. The Practice also needs to be able to contact you in the event of having to rearrange or cancel clinics or on receipt of urgent medical results. We confirm that any messages sent through to mobiles will NEVER contain sensitive data . NON – NHS WORK Requests for form completion, such as holiday cancellation forms, private insurance declarations, life cover including mortgage protection and private letters. The Doctors first and foremost will always complete and respond to NHS work first, patient care and responding to medical needs will always take preference. Therefore any requests for NON – NHS Work can take a while longer to complete, please be prepared to have to wait for this to done.
