Hello Residents!
My name is Erik Espinosa and I’ll be your Residential Assistant in McMindes
Hall this year. I’m from Garden City, Kansas and I will be a sophomore this year at
Fort Hays State University. I’m majoring in Information Technology since I love
technology be it phones, game systems and computers, I know a bit of it all.
My hobbies include playing soccer, running, traveling, playing video games, and of
course hanging out with friends.
My job, as being your RA is to make McMindes Hall an enjoyable experience
for you by making sure that everything goes well on our floor as well as our hall. A
few of the things I’ll be doing to make your experience a great one is to come up
with programs that focus on social, education, and diversity, so that you can get to
know everyone else on the floor while also learning something new. Don’t worry I’ll
make sure to not make it boring at all or it won’t be fun for everyone. To summarize
it all, I’m pretty much here to help make your life at the dorms easier and make a
new friend or two.
If you feel like your going to be homesick then don’t worry much about that,
after you settle in you’ll be busy with friends, organizations, school events and
homework (of course, it is school after all) to think much about it. By coming to
college it can be a completely different surrounding to what your accustom to and
that’s why I’m here to help make the transition from home to college be as seamless
as possible. I found that doing the stuff you love on your free time with friends or
just completely new people is a great way to have fun and relief some stress. A few
of the things I would always do was play soccer or go out on a run, maybe play some
video games too, so let me know if you’ll like to play soccer sometime since the more
the merrier!
