NBCF Postdoctoral Fellowship Referees Reports 2017 Referees in Confidences REFEREE REPORTS The following three referee reports are required to be submitted as part of your application: Referee 1 - Intended supervisor, who is to comment specifically on the applicant’s professional research skills and future research potential. Referee 2 - Referee with personal knowledge of the applicant, who is able to comment specifically on the applicant’s professional research skills and future research potential. Referee 3 - Independent referee with knowledge in the proposed field of research, who has no substantive professional or private contact with the applicant or any active collaboration with the applicant’s proposed supervisors, but should be knowledgeable in the field of study. The referee should not be from the applicant’s current institution. Please ensure that you identify referees that meet the above criteria and instruct the referees to complete the correct referee report. Please ensure they are also advised of the report submission process as detailed below. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that completed referee reports are submitted to the NBCF before the closing date. Applications that do not have completed referee reports submitted by the closing date will be deemed noncompliant and will not proceed to peer review.
