Dear families and friends of Grand View School,
Grand View School is hosting a Parent Information Night on September 8, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.
Activities will begin in the cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. Here’s a chance to meet your child’s teacher if you
weren’t able to do so on Open House night. Elementary teachers will be in their classroom to visit
with parents at 5:45 p.m. Early Childhood teachers will have a table in the cafeteria, and Middle
School teachers will be in the wing by the Library. This is a time where you will be able to visit with
your child’s teacher about classroom expectations, state standards, homework assignments, and other
important information that you need to know. This will not be an individual conference time, but a
time for you to understand what procedures are in place in the classroom, what requirements we
have to teach, and how you as parents can help your child.
We will also have:
 Grand View School’s student gradebook login information
 Tips for parents to help children use cell phones safely
 Information for Cherokee Nation Registration
 Information from Cherokee Nation Alternative Education
 Information from Cherokee Nation’s HERO Project. The HERO Project’s primary goal is to
support youth, families, and communities to promote the overall well-being of children.
