Challenge
The talent search and leadership consulting industry is
undergoing significant and accelerating change. With the
rise of social media and new technologies, an increasing
number of individuals and organizations alike have
shifted toward online networking and assessment on a
global scale.
To support its growth globally and rapid adoption of
cutting-edge technologies, the client identified a need to
shift from traditional classroom training to a more
integrated eLearning and on demand learning solution
for its consultants in the US and worldwide. With a
looming roll-out date for the desired training solution,
the firm partnered with CARA to advise and assist its
internal training team in researching, and making
recommendations for the development and execution of
an effective and cost-efficient eLearning solution that is
customized to train consultants worldwide in maximizing
new search and assessment tools, as they were
introduced.
Solution
CARA’s consultants advised the client on a
comprehensive, customized learning solution that
satisfied the client’s objectives, culture, and internal
training and technology capabilities. After conducting a
Training Needs Analysis, CARA made recommendations
on a blended learning strategy and approach that best
met the company’s overall objectives, budget and time
requirements.
Deliverables included:

Creating a Findings and Recommendations
report summarizing the training design and
development requirements for an updated
blended learning curriculum and course
modules as well as supplemental learning
support options such as quick reference
guides, mentoring feedback guides and
online discussion support.

Providing a course authoring tool template
and instructions for using it.

Delivering customized storyboarding
guidelines for developing screen-by- screen
content and authoring specifications so that
the firm’s course authors could efficiently
develop each eLearning module, including
storyboard templates for learning
objectives, animated text and graphics, as
well as learner knowledge check quizzes
throughout the course.
