The 4 Taiwan teams are Kainan University, Taiwan National Central University,
Taipei Physical Education College and Hsuan Chuang University. The 4 foreign teams
are NTU from Singapore, Seoul National University from Korea, MIT from America
and Kyushu University from Japan.

Kainan University Invitational basketball competition is a success with MIT clinching
the champion.

Throughout the three games that NTU had, our boys fought hard despite having height
disadvantage compared to the three other universities. For the first game, NTU
managed to win Seoul National University. Unfortunately, NTU failed to continue the
winning for the next two games. Nevertheless, the three games allowed our boys to
gain the invaluable experience from playing international games.
On the 2nd day of arrival, NTU had their first game against Seoul University. Later in
the evening, Kainan University organized a basketball night and I believed everyone
had a great and memorable night. There were performances by the local universities as
well as performances by participating teams! The supportive crowds and active
participation in cheering the performances made the event very successful.
On the 3rd and 4th day, NTU had their games against National Central University and
Taipei Physical Education College respectively. Unfortunately, NTU did not handle
the game as well as the two schools.
On the 5th day, NTU witnessed the finals between MIT and Taipei Physical Education
College. It was an eye-opener and MIT clinched the Champions. After which, there
was a closing ceremony for the invitational game.
The whole event could be said to be very successful and recognition has to be given to
Kainan University and their student helpers that allowed NTU to feel so welcoming.
We would like to thank Kainan University for their hospitality and fruitful experience.
On behalf of the NTU basketball team players, I would like to extend our gratitude to
Mr. Chiang Chai Liang, our basketball team sports officer, who helped in our
administrative matters. Thank you.
