Students of JSS PS enter Finals of RANGOLI GULF SEASON 6
‘BE FEARLESSLY AUTHENTIC” was exactly what the students of JSS
PRIVATE SCHOOL were in their final round of RANGOLI GULF SEASON 6.
They made a bold move and displayed a completely new concept, a
dance style that was never projected in 6 years journey of RANGOLI
GULF. The new style of dance called “NAUTANKI” which was showcased
in great style.
The event was held at Gems Modern Academy on 9th January 2017.
JSS PRIVATE SCHOOL had sent 15 participants from middle school. The
students were well appreciated not only for trying something new but
also for bringing across a social message through the folk Nautanki
style.
All the 3 judges were on the same page as far as the feed back was
concern. They loved the energy of each and every participant, were
amazed how expressive the students were not only through their
innovative body movements but also through their facial expressions.
The judges could not make up their mind as to who was the star
performer as all dancers were outstanding according to them.
It was a well deserved pat on the back of the students and the
choreographer alike for the bold attempt, for showcasing a new dance
style and the choreography.
The Dance jury Ms. Rekha Ramchandran gave a
positive and encouraging comment to the
school saying that it is always a pleasure to
witness JSS PRIVATE SCHOOL’S performance,
the judges wonder what is new each time they
perform.
The music jury was very happy with the music
round and also commented saying they were
very pleased with the choice of music [ for the dance round] of this
school as it is always unconventional, energetic and interesting.
The program Director V. Krishna Kumar said that the performance was
beautiful, energetic and that they were blessed to have seen this
performance.
