What is Advanced Art at Farragut Middle?
Advanced Art is a class designed for any 6th
grade FMS student who desires a more in-depth study of visual art.
Advanced art students should be excited to learn about different
kinds of artists and eager to try new techniques. Coursework for
Advanced Art is more rigorous, with high expectations for effort and
dedication. Advanced Art gives students the opportunity to work
with specialized art materials, visit art museums and galleries, and
exhibit their own work in several highly recognized student art
shows. Students who request Advanced Art should expect to
complete drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and mixed
media projects.
Course Requirements:

Class size is limited and the teacher will reserve open spots based on
submitted student artwork and teacher recommendations. Students
should maintain good behavior and a “B” average in order to be stay
in Advanced Art.
