Jr. Pride Baseball Tournament Rules and Refund Policy
The Jr. Pride Baseball Tournament will follow the USSSA Baseball rulebook with the following exceptions:
1. Time limit of 1 hour 40 minutes for all age groups. A new inning will not start after the time limit has expired.
2. In the case of rain the tournament director has the discretion to change any rule that will allow the tournament to be completed.
3. Team and individual awards for 1st and 2nd place in each age group and division.
4. Protest fee: $100 cash (on rule interpretation only)
5. Game Time: Starting time is forfeit time. Coin flip will decide home team during pool play. Highest seeded team will be ho me team
during Championship bracket play. Home team is the official book. Make sure books consult each inning.
6. Tie-Breaker System: If a game is tied after regulation innings have been completed OR the time limit has expired, the “California ”
tie breaker rule will go into effect. Each team will put the batter who made the last out in the respective inning on 2 nd base AND there
will be one (1) out. This will continue until a winner is declared. There will not be a “California” tie breaker in the Champ ionship
game.
7. Infield Warm-Ups: All teams are encouraged to warm-up as much as possible before game time. NO pre-game infield! Ground balls
may be taken in foul territory if ground crew is not on the field. If ground crew is on the field, teams must move their play ers to the
outfield grass until they are finished.
8. Refund policy: If a team does not give a 30 day notice in writing, they will forfeit the entire entry fee.

No refund after a team has started its second game of the tournament.
9. All rules and game guarantees are subject to change at the discretion of tournament officials. Forfeits count as a game played.
10. Teams can bat the line up, bat 9 or bat 9 plus a EH. They must declare which order they are going to use before the game starts and
once the game starts they must continue that for the game.

USSSA RUN RULES:
7 inning games - 15 after 3, 12 after 4 and 8
after 5.
6 inning games - 15 after 3 and 8 after 4.
PITCHING
USSSA rules apply unless specifically noted otherwise for event.
Team manager must complete pitching record and submit to the site director after each game. Teams will not be allowed to star t next
scheduled game if pitching record from the previous game was not submitted to the site director.

10 3 6 8 A: The maximu m number of innings a player can pitch in one (1) day and still pitch the next day.
12 3 6 8 B: The maximu m number of innings a player can pitch in three (3) consecutive days.
13 3 7 8 C: The maximu m number of innings a player can pitch in one (1) day.
14 3 7 8
In age division 10U - 14U, any player that pitches three consecutive days must rest the next day.

NO FOOD OR DRINKS TO BE BROUGHT IN TO THE BALLPARK
M anagers are held responsible for the actions of the players and fans.
Soft toss batting practice against a backstop or fence is prohibited
Please police the dugout and pick up all trash and dispose in trash cans.
