Relay Rules and Regulations . May 12th – 13th, 2017 Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, Charity #070 . Please read the following rules and regulations carefully: 1. All participants are encouraged to join a team of 10-15 people. Each Team Member is responsible for paying their own registration fee to their team captain no later than April 30th ($10 per person) and obtaining any needed support items (tents, food, rain gear, chaperones, etc.) Team Captains register first by registering online at www.bermudarelay.com. 2. Tent size: a. Each team: 10 foot max tent size (your allotted space is 15 feet max) b. Sponsor teams: Size varies as per signed sponsorship agreement c. Teams tents can go as far BACK into the middle of the field as they want d. All tent stakes, weights and campsite equipment/displays must fit in your allocated track facing space 3. For the purposes of this event, a team is considered to be a youth team if more than half of its members are students. Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre requires one chaperone over the age of 25 for every 5 youth team members at all times. 4. No open fires are allowed. 5. No grills are allowed. 6. No animals are permitted at the event, except for seeing-eye or assist dogs. 7. No consumption of tobacco, or controlled substances are allowed. 8. Your team is responsible for the area around your tent site. Clean up any trash and use the cans provided. 9. Radios and music are permitted, but be mindful of those around you. All sound systems must be turned off during the Luminara Ceremony and in the wee hours of the night. 10. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted at the event, but bicycles, roller skates/blades, skateboards and motorized scooters are not. 11. Quiet hours will be from 1am. to 7 a.m. No loud noise will be tolerated. 12. During the Luminaria Ceremony, all other activities except for walking the track will cease for moments of quiet reflection. 13. Parking - Handicap parking will be provided at the Roberts Avenue entrance. All other parking is on a first come basis, with additional parking available at the Arboretum. A shuttle will run from the Arboretum to assist with transportation. As a Team Captain, it is your responsibility to make sure that your team members are aware of the Rules and Regulations of the Relay For Life (those included here, as well as those announced at Team Captain Meetings, through mailings and at the event.) Please know that violation of any of these rules could result in your removal from the Relay For Life. You also agree to abide by any rules deemed necessary by the Relay For Life Planning Committee, announced at the Team Captain Meeting, through mailing, and at the event. Also, please make sure that you review the rules with your team members in the weeks prior to Relay and that you are aware of the rules throughout the Relay.
