WELCOME TO KIDS CAMP ’17! Come see old friends, make new ones, and have some fun in the sun! Before you come to
camp we want to make sure everyone is aware of the procedures, all the important dates, and know exactly what to bring for
the week of camp.
DATES TO REMEMBER
Camp is held Monday, July 10th -Friday, July 14th from 10am-2pm at Galvin Middle School.
Kids Camp Mass is Sunday, July 9th at 10:30am. Mass is located at Saint Gerard’s Majella, 1860 Washington Street, Canton
Ma. We welcome all campers and families to mass and to donuts proceeding.
Camp Talent Show will be Friday, July 14th beginning at 1pm. Friends and family are welcome to watch the kids perform an
annual talent show located in the center field of the Galvin.
TSHIRT PICK-UP
Please remember to pick up your CAMPER t-shirts the day before camp! Camper t-shirts will be available for pick-up Sunday,
July 9th at 9:45am outside the church hall (weather permitting) before mass only. NO T-SHIRTS WILL BE GIVEN OUT
AFTER MASS. Each family is responsible for picking up their own camper t-shirts. We will not distribute camper t-shirts to
other families. If t-shirts are not picked up on Sunday morning you can only receive them Monday July 10th AFTER camp at
the field.
GROUP NUMBER DISTRIBUTION
Each camper is assigned a group number, which they go to every morning. You can get your child(ren)’s age group(s) on
Sunday July 9th starting at 9:45am (before mass) along with your camper t-shirts outside the church hall.
NO T-SHIRTS WILL BE HANDED OUT AFTER MASS. If you do not receive your group number on Sunday morning, Group
Numbers will also be available on Monday morning at the Camp Registration Table.
*Even though you may receive your group numbers prior to camp, please make sure to check in with your child(ren)’s Head
Counselor (orange t-shirt) on the first day of camp.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
To ensure the safety of all campers, we request that you notify us if your camper will not be attending camp. Please e-mail the
kids camp email at [email protected] with your child(ren)’s NAME and GROUP NUMBER. If you already know
your child will not be at camp any day, we ask that you please let your Head Counselor know in advance.
All Campers Should Bring:
-A lunch: in a thermal lunch container that can be used every day. We will not collect trash from lunch.
-A water bottle: reusable, we refill water bottles throughout the day.
-SUNSCREEN and BUGSPRAY: MUST be applied BEFORE camp.
-Bathing Suit and Towel: bathing suits should be worn under camper t-shirts every day. Water games are played daily.
Splash Mountain dates are: Monday- 7&8’s Tuesday- 9&10’s Wednesday- Duckers Thursday- 11&12’s
Dunk Tank dates are: Monday- 7&8’s Tuesday- 11&12’s Wednesday- Thursday- 9&10’s
*Do not forget to LABEL ALL OF YOUR CHILD(ren)’S BELONGINGS (t-shirts, hats, lunch, towels, water bottles) prior to
camp.
-All 7&8’s, please bring empty coffee cans, and cardboard
*Remember, KIDS CAMP RECYCLES! All contents of garbage that came with your child will be sent home to recycle.
NIGHT ACTIVITIES
MONDAY JULY 10TH: Carnival at 6:00pm at Saint Gerard’s. Join us for some family fun and games! Hamburgers and hotdogs
will be provided. Please bring one of the following from one of your child’s age groups:
Duckers: Dessert 7&8’s: Salads (pasta, green, or potato) 9&10’s: Soda or Juice 11&12’s: Snacks
WEDNESDAY JULY 12TH: Family Sports Night at the Galvin Middle School (weather permitting) at 6:00 followed by an Ice
Cream Party in the Church Hall beginning at 7:00.
FRIDAY JULY 14TH: Come to the Kids Camp Dance at 7pm in the Church Hall.
If your child requires medication at camp, regularly or in case of an emergency, please fill out the medical release
forms and bring in the medication on the first day of camp to the Nurse’s Tent. Medical questions, please call Katie at

DROP OFF INSTRUCTIONS
Due to the amount of campers and counselors we have this year, we want to remind you of the
drop-off and pickup procedures. In order to ensure safety and efficiency, we have come up with the
following plan. Please read carefully. If you have any questions, please call Liam, Erin, or Christine
at 781-828-3420 ex. 24 or email us at [email protected] .
Please try to carpool with other families if at all possible to cut down on the number of cars.
Counselors: -All counselors must park or be dropped off at the Hansen.
-All counselors must be picked up at the Hansen as well.
Campers: MONDAY
 All cars must park on Monday, with the arrival time beginning at 9:40am. We
will begin to register campers at this time. Once the Galvin lot is full, you may
park on Pecunit St, but ONLY on the Galvin Side. Once the street is full, please
begin parking at the Hansen School. DO NOT PARK ON WASHINGTON
STREET. All cars in the Galvin parking lot must exit out of rear exit, not back
out through the main entrance.
TUESDAY-FRIDAY
 For those parents who would like to walk their children to their groups
1. Park your car in the lot, CROSS at the crosswalk towards the right edge of
the parking lot only, then proceed to your child’s group. Please exit out the
rear exit, not the main entrance.
 For those parents that wish to just drop their camper off
1. Come down the driveway entrance and remain to the right. Proceed into
the bus drop-off lane and drop your child(ren) when you are told to do so.
PICKING UP- ALL DAYS
Pickup on all days will be the same as the Monday drop off procedure. Please park in the
Galvin parking lot. Once the lot is full, you may park on Pecunit St, but ONLY on the Galvin
side. Once the street is full, please being parking at the Hansen School. DO NOT PARK ON
WASHINGTON ST. All cars in the Galvin parking lot must exit out the rear exit, not back out
through the entrance.
