ISC COMMERCE Internal Assessment Guide Book 2016-2017 Research Project Background You must visit any Commercial Bank and find out the procedure to open a saving account. Find out the details of various Agency & General utility services provided by the Bank. You research question is ‘Agency & General utility services provided by the Bank’ You must submit a hand written report that does not exceed 1000 words. Make a note that some Banks fails to provide data, which may undermine the quality of your report. So before you start, make sure that you will be able to obtain the necessary data from the chosen Bank. You must also be aware of ethical considerations. Step by step guide to the Research You internal assessment MUST begin with the procedure to open a saving account of a Bank. These will become the primary planning documents-and will give your research project overall direction. The following is the format for your research. You MUST follow this format. Preparing a questionnaire and collecting the response of the customers on the quality of services provided by the Bank. (ii) Secondary data collected from websites. Analysis of data Main results and findings Data may be analyzed by graphical representation of the information collected from the questionnaire (Which includes Agency and General utility functions of the bank) This must include ALL findings and results. It shows the outcomes you could generate from the Conclusion and Recommendations study. And your recommendations for the improving the quality of services provided by the Bank. This must be in detailed about references made throughout the project. Bibliography and references Any further data which you may wish to attach to the project. (e.g. copy of Application form, pay slip ) Appendices EVALUATION CRITERIA PAPER II – PROJECT WORK – 20 Marks Candidates will be expected to have completed two projects from any topic covered in Theory. The project work will be assessed by the teacher and a Visiting Examiner appointed locally and approved by the Council.
