6.
ELIGIBILITY, TEAM COMPOSITION AND FEES
Eligibility:
Wushu KungFu Event: Member associations affiliated to the Wushu KungFu
Federation of India.
All Other Events: Any organisation, group or school from any country or regions.
Team Composition:
Each team shall consist of one team manager, one team leader, maximum of 2
coaches, team doctor (optional) and NO limit on the number of male and female
participants and observers.
Fees:
Rs. 500 /- Competition Fees ( Including Stay & Food for 2 Days Only )
Each participating team is responsible for their own life insurance.
7.
REGISTRATION
Preliminary Registration:
Each participating team is required to pre-register via e-mail or fax no later than
15th January 2011 to confirm participation with a list of numbers of participants and
officials.
Final Registration:
The Deadline for receipt of the final registration by the organising committee is the
31st January 2011.
Hotels availability are limited therefore, the organising committee will not accept late
registration.

ARRIVAL
Participating team are required to check in and register at the lobby of the Gymnasium
Hall, Gujarat Vidhyapith, Nr. Income Tax, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad, on Friday the
18th February 2011 in order to receive participant’s package sharp at 6:00 PM.
Please notify the organising committee of your arrival time, date and train details and
number of passengers travelling in order for transport arrangement.

JUDGES
Each participating team may send up to 2 experienced judges with the final
registration form. (who has officiated more than 3 competitions in their regions).
All judges must report by Friday 18th February 2011. Board and lodging will be
provided by the host organisation during the 3 days duration of the tournament. In the
event of insufficient judges, the organising committee reserves the right to appoint
additional judges.
11.
COMPETITION FORMAT
Individual Form and Exhibition Events
All contests will run according to the Rules for International Taolu Competition.
Wushu KungFu Events
All Wushu KungFu contests will run according to the Wushu KungFu World
Competition Rules.
Sanshou (Full-Contact Sparring)
This event is only for Adult Contestants of advanced level and who must be 18 years
of age or older on the date of the contest (proof of age may be requested).
All contestants must NOT have suffered concussion or head injury within the
three months prior to the date of the contest.
The competition will be by Direct Elimination. Winning will be determined by best of
three two-minute rounds with one-minute rest between rounds.
All contests will run according to the Sanshou rules.

COSTUME AND EQUIPMENTS
Costume
Competitors will be expected to wear appropriate costume for the category of
competition they are entering.
For the Wushu KungFu competition events competitors are required to wear the
tournament T-shirts and black traditional pants.
For all other events competitors may compete and perform in traditional Chinese
martial arts costumes.
All footwear should be regular light plimsolls and no running or outdoor shoes
are
allowed. No footwear is permitted in the Sanshou event.
Apparatus.
Each participating team is expected to bring their own apparatus.
All apparatus must conform to the specific requirements set by the Federation.
The competitor holds the apparatus with the left arm straighten and the tip of the
broadsword (Dao) or sword (Jian) must touch his or her ear top. The required length
of the Cudgel (Gun) shall not be shorter than the contestant’s height. The required
length of the Spear (Qiang) shall not be shorter than the contestant’s fingertips while
standing with his or her left hand above the head.

Sanshou Equipment
It is compulsory for both male and female contestants in the Sanshou event to
provide their own gum shield and groin guard.
The organising committee will supply head and chest guards, shin and instep
guards and gloves (weight according to the WKFI rules for each weight category)
13.
PLACING AND AWARDS
Medals will be awarded to the top three places of each event except for the
Sanshou events where two 3rd places will be awarded.
Each contestant will receive a certificate of participation.
14.
TIME LIMIT
For Traditional and Modern Wushu routines the minimum time is 50 seconds and
maximum time is 2 minutes.
Taiji Forms and Taiji Weapons the minimum time is 2 minutes and the maximum
time is 5 minutes.
For Group Events the minimum time is 50 seconds and maximum time is 3 minutes.
For Dual Events the minimum time is 50 seconds and the maximum time is2 minutes.
There is NO time limit for the exhibition events.
15.
AGE CATEGORIES
It is hope to run separate Men’s and Women’s events, but this will depend on the
level of entries for each category.
Group A: 11 years old or younger
Group B: 12 - 17 years old.
Group C: 18 - 30 years old.
Group D: 31 - 45 years old
Group F: 46 years or older
The organising committee reserves the right to combine categories, and or, to
group categories into the Exhibition Events, if entry level falls short of the
minimum level.
Matters not covered in these regulations will be notified in due course.
