SCHOOL MOTTO
Respect, Attitude, Growth
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission for Childhood Education is to contribute to a better future by
providing foundation and formative learning towards a sustainable lifelong
learning of children. We want to contribute to the country a generation of people
who have a well-developed sense of purpose and responsibility to one-self,
family, community and the country by providing a Best Start Education for
young children with an aspiration for them to grow up competent and conident
learners and communicators, healthy in mind, body and spirit, respectful in their
families and communities, secure in their sense of belonging and in knowledge
that they make a valued contribution to society. Together with the development
and provision of appropriate curriculum and strategies, these will stimulate
better and equal learning opportunities and practices and build sustainable
lifelong habits for our young people.
Our teachers are life-long learners who are prepared to learn to appropriately
deal with the needs of our children as the children’s learning abilities vary. We
believe that teachers are the KEY to effective implementation of school
initiatives and curriculum therefore it is of vital importance that they be trained
well. We believe in empowering teachers to improve teaching and learning in the
school.
The school believes that the curriculum should be adapted to what is
developmentally appropriate practice for children. The school recognizes that
playing is a natural way of learning skills; it is practical, fun, challenging, and very
appropriate for the developmental needs of children. Well-designed children
play is all about teamwork, engaged learning, learning together and very
student- centred.
