About SIMA ASEAN Thailand 2015
SIMA ASEAN Thailand 2015 was officially opened on 17th September 2015 from Hall 1-2 of IMPACT Exhibition
& Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand through the joint efforts of both government and private sectors.
Mr. Wimol Jantarothai, Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the
honorary guest, presided over the opening ceremony and other dignitaries from various government bodies
and industrial associations attended the function.
This year’s show provided a comprehensive range of innovative agricultural technologies and equipment such
as inputs, traction, soil working equipment, plant treatment, harvesting, irrigation, storage, breeding
equipment and spare parts.
Throughout the exhibition, there were also a series of informative seminars and conferences from expert
speakers. Highlights included ‘Symposium on Market Access for Small Farmers through Direct Marketing’,
as organized by Agricultural and Food Marketing for Asia and Pacific (AFMA) and Innovation in Agricultural
Equipment for ASEAN Countries to Get Better Productivity by AXEMA.
The exhibition showcased the latest technology and innovations. Visitors were able to experience the latest
products from local and international leading companies, with more than 300 global brands on the exhibition
space of 10,000 sq.m.
The 3-day trade exhibition attracted more than 13,200 trade visitors from 56 countries such as Thailand,
South Korea, Japan, China, India, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia,
Taiwan, Italy, France, Spain, United States of America, United Kingdom and many more.
Once again, we would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those involved for contributing
to the success of this year’s great event. We strive to make the next edition even bigger and better for the
industry.
