Annual Meeting
Lafayette Dash
Elite Team Formation
Dynamo Juniors Girls now:
Lafayette Dash
The Dynamo Juniors and Lafayette Dash are
happy to announce new team formations and
partnerships for the 2017-2018 soccer season.
All girls teams with the Dynamo Juniors
organization will now be officially affiliated with
the Houston Dash NWSL team. This marks a
huge step in the development of the girls side
of our club and will be a partnership that
benefits all involved.
Dash girls will now be given more opportunities
to play in front of the professional staff of the
Houston Dash organization both clubs will be
working hard to promote youth soccer and
make sure that the Lafayette Dash girls get the
best exposure to high level coaching and play.
Dynamo Juniors and Lafayette Dash
Elite Team formation
The Dynamo Juniors and the Lafayette Dash will
be changing the way that teams are organized and
formed. As of the 2017/18 season both sides of the
club will be looking to form ELITE teams, this will
be the top players selected from a combination of
2 birth years.
This season will be looking to combine:
2003 and 2004 15U
Lafayette Dash 15U ELITE; Dynamo Juniors 15U ELITE
2001 and 2002 17U
Lafayette Dash 17U ELITE; Dynamo Juniors 17U ELITE
1999 and 2000 19U
Lafayette Dash 19U ELITE; Dynamo Juniors 19U ELITE
Beneath this the Dynamo Juniors and Lafayette Dash will be looking to form CLUB teams, club
teams will be made up from players that didn't quite make the criteria to be selected for ELITE but
are wanting to push themselves to reach a higher level by training hard and developing within the
Dynamo Juniors and Lafayette Dash systems.
ELITE and CLUB teams will only affect players born from 2004 onwards.
ALL Dynamo and Dash players must try out with the appropriate age group, NOT the age group
they wish to play in.

Dynamo Juniors and Lafayette Dash
Elite Team formation
Rationale for ELITE teams formation:
After successfully launching the Directors Select program in the 2016/2017 season,
the Dynamo Juniors felt it would benefit all players within the program if we could
combine our two age groups at the senior stage of our club.
By combining age groups at 14/15, 16/17 and 18/19s the Lafayette Dash and
Dynamo Juniors will be able to align themselves better with the Houston Dash and
Houston Dynamo US Developmental Academy teams. The ELITE Program features
combined age groups where identified players can "play up" within the club structure,
as encouraged by club staff.
The Lafayette Dash and Dynamo Juniors will be looking for our ELITE players to
dedicate more of their time and effort into practices focusing on playing more
meaningful games. Our ELITE teams will allow our coaches to take on a much more
player centered experience increasing the level of technical execution through a
good balance of training and games.

What we expect from ELITE players:



ELITE team rosters will NOT be frozen Dynamo/Dash will be able to promote CLUB
player up to Elite and Elite coaches will be able to drop players to the CLUB roster if
players do not meet our expectations.
Training Days: Each ELITE team is expected to hold at least three training sessions
per week while the team is competing, players MUST attend all sessions to remain
eligible. (excused absences include, religious events, sickness, mandatory nonsporting school function)
Game Days: Our ELITE teams will look to play in HIGH level tournaments across
the region, coaching staff will make decisions based on each teams level as to
whether to compete in local and/or regional leagues.
Commitment: We expect all of our players at the ELITE level to attend all team
events. ALL practices and games (friendlies, league or tournaments) are mandated.
Soccer comes first: All other athletic activities must not interfere with ELITE team
practices and games.

Disciplinary Procedures
Step 1 Verbal Warning
Coach will discuss undesirable conduct with the player and parents and stress that this behavior will not be
tolerated.
Step 2 First Half Suspension
Coach will bench the offending player for 1 half of time during a game when he/she should be playing. Coach
will inform the Dynamo Juniors/Dash office of the problem and why the player is sitting out 1 half.
Step 3 Game Suspension
Coach will bench the offending player for 1 entire game when he/she should be playing. Coach will inform
Dynamo Juniors/Dash office of the 3rd offense, at which time the player and the parent(s) must attend a
meeting with the coach, Dynamo/Dash DOC 1 board member before the player is allowed to resume playing.
Step 4 Elite Expulsion
The participant on the 4th offense will be expelled from the Dynamo/Dash Elite team for the current season
and no refund will be
given. The parent(s) will then have to make a formal request to be re-instated into the team for the next
season. The child and parent(s) will then have to meet with the Dynamo/Dash DOC prior to the start
of the season to determine if the child is capable of playing within the guidelines of the program.
These guidelines are not absolute in dealing with behavioral problems. Severe situations could merit harsher
sanctions
against the participant.

Frequently asked Questions/ Q and A
LPDL - The LPDL is designed to mimic US Soccer’s Development Academies (“DA”). To
qualify for the LPDL, a member club must satisfy certain rather stringent criteria. Dynamo
Juniors and Lafayette Dash have chosen not to participate this season, Dynamo Juniors/Dash
may submit their application for LPDL status for the 2018/19 season, and will pursue if the
Directors feel it would benefit our players.
United Clubs League – A Houston based Elite level league that may be an option for our
teams.
United Classic League – A North Texas based league that our ELITE teams may play in.

How many years have you been a Coach for - Coached Soccer for 15 years.
Playing Background - Played Soccer since the age of 4 years old. Played for the Youth Organization within my local town "Trowbridge Town FC". Played for the A team from U9 - U16's, we were the most successful team in our area, winning the
League and Cup most years. At the age of 16, I was called into the Adult Program, and represented the First Team on 115

Coaching Background - I started coaching at the age of 18 years, when my First Team Coach asked me to help him out with
a u13 boys team. My First Team Coach was also my coach at Youth level, so I had already learned a lot from him and was

next year. During my time at College, I played for their 2nd Team and got my Welsh FA Coaching License - this helped me to
go into schools and run some after-school sessions. Once graduated, I then travelled to America and worked for Challenger
Sports for 3 months doing Summer Camps. I carried on traveling to America on 3 other occasions, to coach in Kansas,
Texas and Louisiana before officially moving to Lafayette, Louisiana to coach for Dynamo Juniors. This is my 4th year
