Retaining Item Pricing for Carted and Saved Orders About Retaining an Item’s Price Unique to ECinteractivePLUS® and DForce2PLUS™, this enhancement allows you to control how many days item prices can be retained for carted and saved orders. Previously, any saved or open orders were automatically re-priced when the shopper accessed the order and checked out. This ensured that if a pricing update had occurred in the intervening time, the system reflected the latest item pricing. A new Site Preferences parameter lets you keep the item’s original price if it meets the number of days requirement. Therefore, if you set the parameter to three days, item prices for carted or saved orders are retained for up to three days. After the fourth day, all item prices are recalculated again. Since it allows shoppers to retain the item’s original price, this feature is especially helpful when using governmental accounts and requisitions. Once the parameter is set, the system retains the item’s original price, with the following exceptions: • Account and/or department is changed • Carted and/or saved items are updated, or new items are added • Shopper has logged in as a guest user and then becomes an authenticated shopper. If any of the above exceptions are applied, carted and/or saved items are re-priced. Note: This feature is currently available to all shoppers on the site. However, the ability to set it up for specific shoppers is coming soon. Setting Up the Feature 1. Go to the Administrative website and click the Site Config training toolbar; choose Site Preferences. 2. Click beside General Preferences. 3. Click the Number of Days to Retain Carted Item’s Price box and enter the number of days to allow. 4. Save your changes. Updated October 2016 1 © 2016 ECi Software Solutions, Inc.
