Maximize Conversion and Minimize Risk

Maximize Conversion
and Minimize Risk
Modern consumers expect a frictionless, easy new account enrollment
experience. Whether in-person, digitally, or via call center, consumers
want sign-up to be delightfully simple. At the same time, enterprises
seek to maximize new account enrollments without introducing
fraud risk. As consumer-to-enterprise interactions shift to mobile, the
challenges of enrollment increase for enterprises. Small on-screen
keyboards make entering personally identifiable information (PII)
painful for consumers. Enterprises are feeling the impact of this shift. In
2014 more than 50% of new bank account applications were submitted
using mobile devices.1 Yet mobile conversion rates are poor, often
accounting for less than 1% of visitors.
More New Customers, Less Friction
ID Connect™ enables a frictionless customer experience while managing
fraud risk. ID Connect requires a minimal amount of information to
be collected from a consumer once they initiate the transaction, then
leverages the power of the ID Network®, ID Analytics’ proprietary identity
network, and risk assessment tools to make onboarding a snap, all while
validating for the enterprise that the consumer is who they say that are.
A hosted software solution, ID Connect offers two different experiences
to match the needs of the customer.
ID Connect Resolution
ID Connect Resolution asks a consumer for one or two elements of
PII2. ID Connect confirms the user’s identity for the enterprise and
automatically complete fields within the application for the consumer,
making enrollment a consumer-friendly experience. ID Connect uses
sophisticated matching analytics to populate required data fields
instantly while simultaneously verifying the consumer’s identity. This
seamless experience increases conversion rates and reduces friction,
all while safeguarding enterprises against risk. Whether the consumer
is enrolling in-person, digitally, or by call center, ID Connect Resolution
supports a fast, safe experience.
ID Connect Photo
ID Connect Photo uses the camera on a mobile device to capture an
image of the consumer’s government-issued identification card3. The
personally identifiable information is extracted from the ID, and the
new account enrollment form is populated. The information is saved
in the ID Network, enabling higher conversion rates and easy fraud
investigation and remediation4. With sophisticated fraud detection
flags, enterprises can safely enroll new customers in any setting.

ID Connect Creates a Differentiated
Customer Experience
ID Connect Resolution
Instead of requiring a consumer to provide full identity information, enterprises can now ask for
one or two identity elements5. This information is matched with information in the ID Network and
the consumer is asked to verify their identity. In a matter of seconds the identity elements and
fraud risk assessment are provided back to the enterprise to enable safe account creation.

ID Connect Photo
Enterprises can utilize the camera on mobile devices and
tablets to capture government-issued identification cards,
such as a driver license or passport6. The camera on the
mobile device captures the PII on the ID, extracts the data,
and populates the account enrollment form. The data is
stored in the ID Network, and available to enterprises for
fraud investigation and remediation.
Power of the ID Network
While advanced analytics ensures the accuracy of returned data, the ability of ID Connect to return
PII on U.S. consumers comes from the wealth of cross-industry data in the ID Network. Covering
300 million U.S. identities with billions of cross-industry applications and transactions, the
ID Network is a repository of online and offline consumer behavior data. Because it has insight into
industries not captured by traditional credit bureau data or public records—including online and
mobile commerce, telecommunications and subprime lending industries—in most cases the
ID Network is even able to provide accurate insight into consumers with little to no credit history.
