A copy of the league rules will be distributed to all teams prior to the start of the season. I agree to follow and be bound by the league rules and to accept the given punishment for a violation of the league rules. Obscene behavior does include language but a slip of an obscenity as a reaction to missing a shot or falling could be held as en exception. If a team is late and causes the start of the game to be delayed by more than 10 minutes the team is automatically disqualified. If a player receives 4 technical fouls they are suspended for one game. Upon return after suspension, for every 2 additional technical fouls that player receives will result in another one game suspension. If a player receives 2 technical fouls in one game it will also result in a suspension. Violence will not be tolerated in this league; Basketball is a physical sport but there is a distinct difference from physical play and a violent, malicious play. If a referee witness’s violent play, the player will be warned; if the violent play continues and can be easily distinguished from physical play then the player receive a technical foul. Fighting is not tolerated to any extent and will result in an automatic 3 game suspension, with the possibility of more than 3 or even expulsion from the league. 5th/6th Grade League
