Slide 1 - Clay Church of Christ

Rom.8:6-8– “6 For the mind of the flesh is
death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and
peace: 7 because the mind of the flesh is enmity
against God; for it is not subject to the law of
God, neither indeed can it be: 8 and they that
are in the flesh cannot please God.”
Matt.15:18-20– “18 But the things which proceed
out of the mouth come forth out of the heart;
and they defile the man. 19 For out of the
heart come forth evil thoughts, murders,
adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness,
railings: 20 these are the things which defile the
man; but to eat with unwashen hands defileth
not the man.”
Rom.12:2– “2 And be not fashioned according
to this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, and ye may prove
what is the good and acceptable and perfect
will of God.”
Prov.4:23– “23 Keep thy heart with all
diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.”
The Parable of the Sower illustrates it

and with what measure ye mete, it shall be
measured unto you.”

and make not provision for the flesh, to
fulfil the lusts thereof.”
