FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE (Kindergarten-5th Grade)
The M-T Recreation department will again be sponsoring a flag football league this fall for grades kindergarten through
fifth grade. This is a very popular program!! There is no limit to the number of participants who register by the JULY 28
deadline. Three divisions will be created: Kindergarten & 1st graders, 2nd & 3rd graders, and 4th & 5th graders. When
registering your child, please list height and weight. (MOUTHGUARDS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED)
K-1st Grade: There will be a 30-minute practice followed by a 45-minute game each Saturday. All practices and
games will take place at Steffen Middle School.
2nd & 3rd Grade: There will be a 30-minute practice followed by a 60-minute game each Saturday. All practices and
games will take place at Steffen Middle School.
4th & 5th Grade: Same structure as 2nd and 3rd grade.
Teams will be coached by parent volunteers. For those interested in coaching, please state your interest on the registration
form. There will be a coaches meeting on Wednesday, August 16th, 2017, at 6:00pm for K-1st grade and 7:00pm
for 2nd – 5th grade in Range Line Conference Room. All coaches MUST attend the coaches meeting. Coaching
assignments will be sent out one week prior to the meeting.
Officials Needed: High school age students are hired to officiate games. If you have an interest in officiating flag football,
please contact the M-T Recreation Office at 262-238-7536.

Registration: NO REQUESTS GRANTED TO PLAY WITH FRIENDS, CAR POOL REASONS, OR
SCHOOLS – TEAMS ARE BASED ON PLAYER EVALUATIONS HANDED IN FROM COACHES FROM
LAST YEAR, HEIGHT, WEIGHT, and GRADE. The deadline for registration is July 28, 2017. The deadline
will be strictly adhered to allow time for making team assignments, ordering team shirts, securing equipment,
and creating game schedules. Registration for flag football needs to be completed on the Flag Football
Registration Form (different than the regular M-T Recreation Registration Form) or online. Height and weight
will be asked.
