▌ Job Description Job title: House Coordinator (Residential Recovery Program) Reporting to: Residential Recovery Program Operational Manager Salary: $56,592 – 60,801 per annum inclusive of 9% superannuation. (See Schedule 1 of contract for full details of package) Hours: 38 hours per week full time employment within a bandwidth of 8.30am – 5.30pm (fixed term engagement) Location: Canberra ACT (some travel may be involved) Purpose of the position This position is responsible for the leadership, coordination and administration of a nominated house within the Residential Recovery Program. The House Coordinator will manage and lead a team in the delivery of this service; they will uphold RFACT’s principles and practices while aiming for continuous improvement in there delivery. The House Coordinator will also work collaboratively and respectfully with all stakeholders and ensure a safe and valued work environment for their team. They will ensure that the house operates in accordance with NDIS safeguards and accountability and the appropriate legislation. Responsibilities & Duties ▌Responsibility 1 – To manage and coordinate the provision of services within the house including; oversight of support to residents, management and monitoring of service levels, staffing levels and required outcomes. Work standard – Care Coordination is provided to Participants in line with their NDIS plan. NDIS Portal Participant service bookings are facilitated for all supports delivered to the residents within the house Supports are provided to residents in line with their NDIS plan, RF recovery framework with optimal choice and control and are being delivered in a timely manner. Staffing levels are maintained at an appropriate and safe level. Participate in a rotating after hours on-call support to the RRP staff 1 ▌Responsibility 2 – Leads, manages and develops a diverse team in the delivery of program services Work standard – Staff rosters are maintained to ensure a safe working environment and support for residents. A positive, cooperative and inclusive working environment exists. All new staff members have been properly orientated both in Program ethos & expectations, service standards and WH&S requirements. Performance and behavioural standards expected of the Residential Support Workers and learning and development is included as part of regular supervision with staff. ▌Responsibility 3 – To undertake and complete necessary administrative and managerial tasks including, regular maintenance of required record keeping systems, efficient management of finances and purchases. Work standard – All processes are completed in a timely manner including; o Timesheets signed & reconciled, o Petty cash checked & balanced, o Data base entries are read and amended as required o Incident Reports reviewed, and o Any additional correspondence or administrative tasks are dealt with and responded to in a timely manner. ▌Responsibility 4 – To develop and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with WH&S standards and Richmond Fellowship Policy and Procedures Work standard – Regular WH&S checks conducted and identified items addressed. That staff are aware of safe working practises and where to obtain the necessary information. Staff incidents/ accidents are reported as per RF requirements ▌Responsibility 5 – To develop strong relationships both within Richmond Fellowship and with Key stake-holders. Work standard – Participate in regular Unit team manager meetings, Richmond Fellowship staff meetings and inter-agency meetings where appropriate. Ensure all correspondence and interagency activities / representation is reflective of RF principles and practice To provide support and camaraderie to team mates and colleagues where needed. 2 ▌Responsibility 6 – House Coordinators to demonstrate a commitment to personal growth and development in their role. Work standard – Coordinator’s engage in a process of development in identified areas through self reflection, peer supervision, external supervision and regular meetings with the Operations Manager. Selection criteria Academic & trades qualifications Essential Minimum qualification of Certificate 1V in Mental Health or equivalent. Desirable Experience in leadership & management of multi-disciplinary team Work experience & skills Essential Demonstrated understanding of mental health and its impact on the lives of clients and their families. Desirable Experience working with Residential Mental Health Care Sound working knowledge of the NDIS in the A.C.T Experience managing and leading a diverse team Personal qualities & behavioural traits Essential Ability to make sound decisions under pressure Ability to develop strong interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately Desirable Excellent written and verbal skills Demonstrated ability to maintain a healthy work/life balance Strong computer skills in relation to ‘Word and Excel’ & attention to detail. Ability to motivate and educate colleagues to continually improve practice and attitudes. 3 Relationships With 1. Operations Manager Purpose To provide & receive regular feed-back and supervision in relation to duties and identified goals. To cooperate & contribute to team training and development. To co-attend forums & meetings, promote and network on behalf of your program and Richmond Fellowship. 2. Human Resources To comply and cooperate with relevant policies, awards and legislation relevant to the conditions and safety of staff & residents. To de-brief, reflect and be provided feedback on attitude & practices in addition to developing self awareness skills. 3.
