Part 2 Progress Monitoring Reading 3D Progress Monitoring – a tool not just a check off piece It is a check on the teacher and the activities you are doing to build skills for each student Go to your mCLASS app *Click on Reading 3D *Sort (if you would like to) *Click on a student’s name *”Progress Monitoring” *Drop Down Box – choose skill to assess *Assess (Choose the option to PM out of grade level if needed) *Then proceed to read Mr. Say and complete the assessment – same as Benchmark, except: DORF – you only have to do ONE passage PM – TRC & DORF exceptions DORF – only one passage TRC – you are only required to listen to about 150-200 words (depending on grade level). Student can finish the story silently (if you think he/she can) *Might want to have them complete written questions first if you are trying to PM more than one child that day *Once you tap the “Oral Question” button, it will not let you assess another child until you are completely finished with this one Progress Monitoring and Written Questions Level F and above Better alignment with benchmarks Replace questions 2 & 4 Questions 1 & 3 ask orally and score Score written questions and enter the score for numbers 2 & 4. Do you have students who have not mastered PSF or NWF? – which skill is needed by different groups within your class? Make a list of students in need of activities per assessment (PSF, NWF, DORF)
