I am delighted to announce that Exxact is among the winners of 2011 year reddot design
award: Product Design 2011.
What is reddot?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The reddot design award is a large and coveted international product design prize awarded by the
Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany. The aim of the prize is to honor outstanding
design quality and trendsetters. Since 1955, designers and producers can apply for the prizes with the
winners being presented in an annual ceremony. Winning products are presented in the red dot
design museum on the premises of the Zollverein World Cultural Heritage site in Essen.
The international “red dot design award” is the largest and most renowned design competition in the
world. The red dot is awarded in three different categories – Product Design, Communication Design
and Design Concept.

In 2011 approximately 1,700 companies from 60 countries have taken part with 4,433 entries in total.
Ultimately, only the very best products managed to convince the expert jury – and Exxact is one of
those!

To be one of the winners means for instance this:
reddot label:
Use of the “red dot” label for the whole lifecycle of Exxact product range.
reddot design museum:
Presentation of Exxact together with all the award-winning products in a four-week special exhibition in
the red dot design museum and afterwards in the red dot design museum for at least one year.
reddot design yearbook:
Presentation of Exxact in the red dot design yearbook 2011/2012
reddot online:
Presentation of Exxact with images and text in the online exhibition for at least one year.

Now when Exxact has won the award we simply need to make use of the many opportunities
for communicating the award through marketing materials, websites, ads, PR etc.
I think we all shall be very proud of this award, especially the Aurora Project Team. The final
products are having the expected top quality design we were aiming for. It has been a long
journey with a lot of challenges within the Aurora project but now we start to see the result the reddot label can be one.
