Registered Builders/Remodelors not only belong to the Lincoln Trail
Home Builders Association but they voluntarily “register their
reputations” with the organization. By doing so:
• They pay increased dues.
• They are required to attend 6 hours of continuing education each year.
• They are a full-time professional who derives his or her principal
income from homebuilding.
• They must offer a 1 year home warranty.
• They must file their Workers Compensation and General Liability
Insurance certificates with our office.
• And most importantly, they agree to allow the association to intervene
with a conciliation process if a problem arises between a homeowner
and builder with a house under warranty.
THERE ARE NO LICENSING LAWS FOR BUILDERS IN THE STATE OF KENTUCKY.
