Score and Pitch Count Reporting

MBLL 2017: Score and Pitch Count Reporting Guidelines
Instructions for reporting game and pitch count results, and making certifications
- BOTH teams must submit a form for each game.
o Scores: Enter the score as captured in your team’s book. The home team’s score report
will be considered the official score, and will be uploaded to mbll.org.
o Pitch counts: Enter your team’s pitchers only. You must enter the EXACT number of
pitches thrown by each pitcher. Whether you “burned” or need to rest a pitcher is
indicated by your response to the question about what pitch was reached on the
first pitch to the last batter. If you burned a pitcher, the spreadsheet will shade your
response red.
o Certifications:
 Innings pitched limit: International and Coast managers must check a box
certifying they have complied with this rule.
 If a player throws 41 or more pitches, s/he may not subsequently play the
position of catcher: All managers must check a box certifying they have
complied with this rule.
 No pitching and playing 4 innings at catcher in a game: All managers must
check a box certifying they have complied with this rule.
- The manager, coach, or scorekeeper may submit the form. Regardless of who submits it, it will
be taken as official and endorsed by the manager once submitted.
- Reports are due by 11:59pm of the day after the game. However, some commissioners may
establish more stringent requirements. Per MBLL rules, the first violation will result in a
warning, and for each subsequent violation the manager will sit a game.
- Usually within 24 hours of the home team submitting their form, we add the game results to
www.mbll.org. Please note that scores do not appear on www.mbll.org automatically after
you submit your form; we have to manually post them.
- The form works on computers but is also mobile device-friendly. You can also use the
Google Drive app.
Instructions for viewing score report and pitch count results across your division
- On your initial visit, Managers and primary Coaches should request access. Once your access
is approved, you will have read-only access to the spreadsheet that contains everyone’s
score and pitch count results from the division.
- The form works on computers but is also mobile device-friendly. You can also use the
