Tic-Tac-Toe Project
After you have finished your second semester book, you will complete one activity from each column. Three
wonderfully completed projects will earn you 90 points toward fourth quarter’s Major Work grade.

EXPLAIN how the main character
changes from the start to the end of
the book, using at least two sentences.
DESIGN a movie poster including the
casting, setting, and MPAA rating. The
poster should visually depict an
important scene.
REPORT on an incident that
happened in the story, just like you are
a newspaper journalist. Write a
newspaper or magazine article telling
your readers of the events that
occurred. Be sure to answer who,
what, where, why, and how.
SUMMARIZE the plot in one
paragraph or more.
FILM a video (at least 30 seconds
long) reenacting a scene from your
novel. Choose your scene with
maturity.
REWRITE the ending of the novel in
at least two pages (typed), finishing
the book in a completely different way.
CREATE a study guide for your book,
asking at least 10 questions. Provide
an answer key.
PRODUCE a poem or song about the
book. The poem should be at least ten
stanzas long, and the song should
have two verses, a bridge, and a
chorus.
SCRIPT a conversation between a
character from this novel and a
character from any other novel you’ve
ever read.
You may earn up to 10 points of extra credit towards your project grade by turning your work in early. See the
opposite side for the grading rubric.
