Helpful Tips:
Proper placement of trash and recycling carts is essential in facilitating pick up service.
Where should I place my carts?
• Carts must be placed in the street, at the curb, away from mailboxes, low hanging branches, shrubbery or other obstacles.
• If your residence is on a corner, place your cart on the street addressed, not on a side street.
•Carts should not block sidewalks or storm drains.
•On collection days, we ask that you not park a vehicle at the
curb so that the collection truck can easily approach the cart(s).
•If you are setting out both your green cart and your recycling
container, separate the two by at least three feet apart. This will
help the crew distinguish between recyclables and regular trash.
