Overview
By default, the results of an assessment will be available immediately and the student will be notified. You have the
option to change the default settings for notifying a student and the availability of the assessment results. These options
are available on the Assessment screen, below the Save button, once you have started to assess a submission.
NOTE: If you decide to hold the results of an assessment, you can choose to have them released once all assessments
are completed, or release them manually, from your Unreleased Assessments screen, at a later date as well.
Notifying Students
When selecting how you would like to notify your students of a completed assessment you are given the following
choices:
1. Yes: If you choose to notify the student, an email will be sent to alert them of the completed assessment. If you have
also chosen to release the results, the student will be able to view the completed assessment from the My Results
screen.
2. No: You can also choose not to notify the student, which means they will not receive an email when the assessment
is completed.
3. Notify only when results released: This option should be selected if you do not want to notify the student that the
assessment is completed until you decide to release the results. In this case, you would be selecting to hold the results
of the assessment as well. Only when the results are released will the student be notified of the completed assessment.
Holding Results
When selecting how your would like to handle your completed assessment results you are given the following choices:
1. Results Available Immediately: If this option is selected, clicking the Save button, will trigger the release of the
completed assessment results. Students will be able to access their results from the My Results screen right away.
2. Never: This option will prevent students from ever seeing the results of the assessment
3. Held until released: This option will prevent the results of the completed assessment from being released when
completed and will hold the results on your Unreleased Assessments screen, until you decide to release them.
Releasing Results
If you had decided to hold the results of your completed assessments, you can release them from the Unreleased
Assessments screen. You can access your unreleased assessments from the Assessment screen. Click on the number
next to the My Unreleased Assessments heading.
Select the results you would like to release and click the Release button.

Can I release multiple results at the same time?
• Yes. From the unreleased assessments screen you can select the checkboxes next to multiple users and
then click on the release button at the top of the column. To release to all of the students with unreleased
assessments choose 'Select All' on the far right column and then choose 'Release' right below it.
