The Bengals proved too strong however, scoring three in the opening period and one in the second to take a 4-‐0 lead. The Regals’ offense was stifled in the first two periods, only scoring one goal by Marcus Keleher in the third. Thomas Richardson and Winston Bashford notched two more for the Bengals in the last half of the period, solidifying their 6-‐1 Provincial Championship win. After struggling through the round robin play with a 1-‐1-‐1 record, the Peterborough Lakers 2 battled for the Pee Wee C Provincial title against the 2-‐0-‐1 Mimico Mountaineers 2. The Lakers took the early lead, scoring two in the first period to the Mountaineers’ one. Though Owen Simpson briefly tied it up with a goal one minute into the second period, the Lakers responded with one of their own to make the score 3-‐2. Mimico collected another goal, but Shane Cooligan and Frank Coyle extended the Lakers lead 5-‐3 at the end of the second. Merrick Sands poked his second past the defense, and Reagan Martinell his first, to finish the game 7-‐4 and collect the team’s Pee Wee C Championship. Kahnawake staged a third period flurry in the Pee Wee D Provincial Championship against the Northumberland Nemesis, to take the title 6-‐4. The Nemesis scored two in the first period to the Mohawks one, and extended their lead to 4-‐1 in the second, with goals from Sam Clements and Curtis Martin. Dean Brascoup jump-‐started the comeback for the Mohawks, scoring the team’s second goal with 7:12 left in the third period. The Mohawks would go on to score three more in approximately four minutes to take a one goal lead, and Brascoup capped their victory with a final goal in the last second of play for a 6-‐4 final score. The Arthur Aces took on the Sun County Crows in a battle for the Pee Wee E Provincial Championship title at the 2014 Ontario Lacrosse Festival. The Aces shut the Crows down until the third period, logging in three goals to take a 3-‐0 lead. Aiden Barrina scored in the first, and Jabe Verbeek popped two off in the second. Though Jordan Gualtieri scored one for the Crows in the third, two more goals by the Aces locked in their Pee Wee E 5-‐1 victory. The Lincoln Crush and Awkesasne Storm 2 met for the second time that week in the Pee Wee F Provincial Championship final. Lincoln took their first match-‐up in the round robin 7-‐4 and went undefeated in regular play. The Crush opened up the scoring quickly in the first, logging four goals while the Storm managed two. The Crush ran away with the game in the second period, scoring five more goals and shutting out the storm. Aidan Vitucci and Hunter Oakley logged their third goals each. Awkesasne’s penalty minutes also began to build in this period, combining for a final total of 37 to Lincoln’s eight. Treyton Sunday scored his second goal in the third period, but the Crush was too far ahead to catch.
