HARRIS GOLF COURSE Have Fun Playing Golf In Greenwich Play golf at the only non-private golf course in Greenwich, the Town of Greenwich owned championship golf course named Griffith E. Harris Golf Course located at 1323 King Street. It is an award winning 18 hole Robert Trent Jones designed course built in 1964. The course, referred to as “The Griff”, is recognized as one of the premier golf courses in the area. It has been selected to host the 2018 Metropolitan Golf Association Public Links Championship which is quite an honor. Also, in the not so distant past, it has hosted an official PGA professional event. In an article it did about the course, Greenwich Magazine referred to it as Greenwich’s “hidden gem”. While the course is of championship caliber, each hole has four sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all abilities. Practice areas include a driving range, putting green and chipping area with a sand trap. Also on the premises is a full service restaurant and a Pro Shop with a resident Pro and assistants that are available for lessons along with a full range of golfing supplies and clothing. Further, there are four very active men’s and lady’s golf clubs that play every week during the season at the course and welcome new members.
