BPM tutors and support staff are experienced in
working with children and young people. They are
responsible for your child for the duration of the
sessions.
BPM ensures each tutor has an enhanced DBS
certificate and is clear to work with children of all
ages.
Medical records and emergency contact details of
participants will be available to tutors, and a firstaid trained member of staff is present at all
sessions.
Attendance registers are kept and parents of
children aged 11 or under are asked to sign their
children in and out of the Centre.
Children aged 11 or over are asked to sign
themselves into the building.
Session registers will be taken by the tutors.
Tutors follow Bristol Plays Music’s strict
safeguarding policies and procedures.
A BPM member of support staff will be at the Centre
during all lessons.
Parents/Carers’ contribution to safety:
We encourage you to put safety first.

site. Direct them to a member of staff.
 Students will not be allowed to leave the site during
a session.
 All children aged under 11 must be brought to the
Centre, and collected by a designated adult (please
see ‘Home Travel Arrangements’ overleaf).

the end of each lesson.
 Do not arrange to collect younger children from the
car park area or the street. Parents/carers must
come into the building to collect children.
