Webelos Woods is designed to give Webelos-level Scouts a preview of the Boy Scouting experience. The program reinforces Boy Scouting values, procedures, methods and skills. Also, there is the thrill of camping in the outdoors at a Boy Scout style camp, which will foster a desire to continue in Scouting. It will be held at Oxford Furnace Lake Oxford NJ. This event is for scouts presently at the Bear, Webelos, Arrow of Light, and Boy Scout Level. As part of the opening ceremony, we will have a short Bear to Webelos ceremony. This officially inducts current Bear Scouts into the Webelos Clan. These scouts will participate in age appropriate Webelos Level Activities all weekend, and can begin working on their Webelos Requirements. After the day’s activities, everyone is invited at Sunset to watch the Crossover Ceremony for the Arrow of Light Scouts (also known as Webelos III’s, or graduating Webelos) advancing into Boy Scouts. Arrow of Light Scouts crossing over to Boy Scouts will have their own program throughout the weekend. Including a Service Project, Graduation Hike, and Banquet Dinner etc. Please contact the Cross Over Chair for more information.
