ANOTACE:
Prezentace je určena žákům pátých tříd ke
zopakování a rozšíření učiva o určování času v angličtině.
Žáci si nejdříve zopakují určování hodin – čtvrt, půl,
tři čtvrtě, celá a pak se učí jak vyjádřit minuty pomocí
názorných obrázků. Také se umí zeptat, kolik je hodin.
V prezentaci je dostatek cvičení na procvičování a lze
je také použít k opakování i testování žáků.
Nakonec se žáci seznámí s různými typy hodin a naučí
se je pojmenovat.
Na konci prezentace je připojena adresa na krátké
video, kde se děti dozvědí i o jiné možnosti, jak vyjádřit čas.

INSTRUMENTS FOR MEASURING TIME
SUNDIAL - it requires
the sun to shine and
doesn't work during
the night. The shadow
shows the
time.
HOURGLASS - the
sand moves slowly
from the top half to
the bottom in exactly
one hour.
MECHANICAL CLOCKS there are a lot of
varieties of them. This
clock has three hands,
the little hand (hours),
the big hand (minutes)
and the second hand.
CUCKOO CLOCK a little wooden
bird comes out
every hour and
imitates the call
of the cuckoo.
It´s a famous
STRIKING CLOCK
BIG BEN, it sounds
the hours on a
bell.
ALARM CLOCK
often makes an
awful noise when
it's time to wake
up.
POCKET WATCH is a small timepiece
attached on a chain
and carried in a
PENDULUM
CLOCK needs
to be
stationary
(because of
the
pendulum).
PLATFORM CLOCK
at King's Cross
station in London.
Trains run
according to the
24-hour clock. It's
twenty five to one.
