Youth Practice Guidelines

Parks + Recreation
2014
Heritage Park Youth Practices
1. There will be 1 practice a week until games start. Then there will be one practice a week and
one game a week. Practice time slots are in 1 hour increments due to limited practice space.
2.
Practices are at Heritage Park on the baseball fields, softball fields or any other open green
space. Coaches may choose to practice at any of our neighborhood parks, or any other area
suitable for baseball/softball practice. Practices on ball fields must be reserved.
3. There will be a facility manager present to issue equipment. Equipment must be returned at
end of practice.
4.
The days/times on the practice schedule that are shaded are not available for practices.
5. There are no practices/games on the weekends.
6. The Friday practices listed in the right-hand column are for the BASEBALL FIELDS ONLY.
7. Due to space limitations, the baseball and softball fields #4 are larger fields; therefore 2 teams
may practice at the same time. Please allow 30 minutes in the infield, and 30 minutes in the
outfield for each team. We reserve the right to place to younger age group teams on 1 field.
8. Teams may choose to use their practice time as scrimmage games.
9. If you need to reschedule your practice, you may do so at the field with the facility manager, or
by calling the main office at 931-645-7476.
10. If it is raining, please call the main office at 931-645-7476 and choose Option 1 to see if
practices/games are rained out. LISTEN CAREFULLY FOR THE CORRECT DATE!
