Accelerated Reader
AR is used to encourage independent reading. Goals are
set each grading period and students are rewarded for
reaching their goal.
• The Program will…
– Keep track of individual reading practice
– Provide information about reading success to the student,
teacher, and parent.
• Students are to…
– Read an ‘AR’ book in their reading range
– Take a computer-based comprehension test
– Work on individually set goals
