Suggestion: Use this fact sheet to help explain the wall charts. •There are 2 types of clock: analog and digital. •Digital clocks tell us the time by showing numbers. •Digital clocks show a 12-hour notation with a.m/p.m and some show a 24-hour notation with hours ranging 00–23. •Analog clocks tell the time by the movement of their hands. •All analog clocks have at least two hands. Some have three. •The small hand tells us the hours. The big hand tells us the minutes. The third hand tells us the seconds. •There are: 960 seconds in 1 minute 915 minutes in a quarter of an hour, 930 minutes in half an hour, 960 minutes in 1 hour, 912 hours in half a day, 924 hours in a whole day. •Noon/midday is when the clock shows twelve o’clock in the middle of the day.
