Due-
Creating your own Classical Greece Scrapbook
Your task is to create an Ancient Greek Scrapbook that preserves their rich history, and
culture!!
Each Section of your scrapbook should have a brief 3-5 sentence description of that section and an
illustration that depicts each section. *Note failure to do so will constitute point deductions from
the overall grade. These are to be colored and creative… Scrapbooks are keepsakes!!
You will be responsible for relaying to me how each step of the design process fits into your
project. (Example: your presentations for the recycling container in Pierce and Stevenson’s Classes)
we will discuss these step throughout class as you are completing the task.
To Begin- Today
-- Follow and document each step of the design process below.
You will be routinely be asked to provide evidence or examples of this design as it takes
shape. Your documentation can take several forms- a written journal, a keynote, a prezi, and
should include sketches and notes. EACH STEP NEEDS to BE DOCUMENTED! * Failure to do
so will result in point deductions
Empathy- Put yourselves in the shoes of an Ancient Greek Citizen. The Idea here is that you are
trying to preserve your history and culture by creating a scrapbook.
Ideate- Collaborate to brainstorm ideas about the theme of your scrapbook, what materials/
supplies will you need? Integrate your ideas and decide which one will work best.
Prototype-Sketch out the details on scratch paper, research and collect evidence that will help you
provide the best explanation of the section you are focusing on and research and collect examples
that you can use to illustrate the section you are focusing on.
Feedback- Choose the ideas and designs that work best for your group while eliminating the ones
that do not!
Reflect- Use this time to reflect on the previous steps, establish a plan of action to make this
scrapbook a reality, time management should be a key aspect of your groups’ reflection at this
stage and always keep in mind what the end result should be!
Create- Put all of the hard work, research and collaboration into practice! Constantly refer to the
design cycle you have established!
Front cover should be decorated with- Title, Picture, Names of group, and date
