Dear Pray-ers,
Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer! Someone has said, "You can
do more than pray after you have prayed; but you can never do more
than pray until you have prayed." A.J. Gordon
•
Pray for our mentorship and training of our new summer team of
youth (eleven teens) !
•
Pray for the volunteers to step up for the Good Friday service at
River’s Harvest where we are providing the children’s program.
•
Pray for men to catch the vision of the importance of reaching
children and not waiting until the children are teens and already
closing the door.
•
Pray for children we have in GNC and other outreaches. This is
the time of year when we really know the kids and can more
effectively teach and mentor toward their needs.
•
Some children have heard the Gospel and not responded. Pray
for the Lord to soften their hearts.
•
Pray for a team to be raised up for the elementary school in La
Crescent. The principal is more than open.

From Brian and Dana Phipps (Turkey) –
Dear Friends,
The next big event on our calendar is Easter Sunday. We have
decided to spend that day one hour outside Ankara on the banks of
Turkey’s biggest river. We are going to picnic, celebrate Christ’s
resurrection, and baptize four believers. Would you please pray for
this upcoming event? Pray for protection from our enemy, good
participation, and logistics.
We are very encouraged in the work God has given us. God’s
Kingdom is noticeably growing. And your partnership with us in prayer
has accomplished much.
Love, Brian and Dana
ALL-CHURCH WORKDAY
A work day has been planned for the morning of April 26. Please watch
for more details coming soon.
From Craig & Shirley Preston (Indonesia) –
CONGRATULATIONS
We extend our congratulations to Roger Behringer, Jr. on his
promotion to Sergeant in the United States Army. His e-mail
address is [email protected].
Craig and I have settled back into the routine here at the
Bible school in Merauke. Our internet is very undependable
but we are thankful to have it at times. We seem to have it
every other day--sometimes for just a few minutes, other
times for a few hours. We are thankful not to have to run to
town each time we want to get on the internet.
THANK YOU
Dear friends of Wausau Bible Church,
Thank you so much for the love you expressed to us with condolences
and cards on the home-going of my dear mother. The lovely dieffenbachia
plant you gave will be a constant reminder of our dear brothers and sisters
in Christ at Wausau Bible Church and we thank you for it.
Jim and Joyce Hochmuth for the family of Ella Pasternak
HOW ARE YOU DOING?
Have you or your family or your group signed up for a missionary report
for October? How are you doing on collecting information? This
information will need to be given to Joyce Appleton (preferably by e-mail)
by July 4 so that she will have time to prepare it all for our missionary
family booklet. Also please note that you will not need to make or
purchase a flag for the country of your missionary. The church will take
care of this for you by purchasing flags that will all match. If you would
like to take a missionary family or organization who has not been chosen
yet, please see the bulletin board or talk to Paul Martorano (715-3593865).
CHILD PROTECTION CLASSES
Next month we will start Child Protection Classes so you can plan ahead
now. The dates are:
Sunday, May 18, 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, May 28, 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, June 1, 8:30 a.m.
Words to Live By
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most
pitiable. But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the
firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by
Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even
so in Christ all shall be made alive. I Corinthians 15:19-22
Dear Praying Friends,
We have a couple of things we need you to be praying
about. April 15-16 we have meetings to discuss how to best
reach the South Coast of Papua with the gospel. This will
affect the future of the Bible school. In attendance at these
meetings, we have three men coming out from the US and
three foreigners here on the field, plus eight Papuans. Pray
for a great time of fellowship and for God to make His will
very clear to all who are in attendance.
The other prayer request regards our house. Our landlord
has told us we need to get out when our contract is up which
is July 31. She wants to make major renovations to this
house and needs us out. We need wisdom to know what to
do. We can move into a house in town that is already set up
for a Westerner. We much prefer being out here close to the
Bible school, but any house here will need some work and
the question is, is it worth putting money into a house so we
can be close to the Bible school? Pray for God to make His
will clear, and to provide us a place near the Bible school if
He so chooses.
Thank you so much for standing behind us with your prayers
and financial support. We appreciate you.
