Dear Colleagues, Welcome to the Sainsbury’s Inclusive Community Training update for June 2016. Over 5,000 people trained… As a result of your continued support of the Sainsbury’s Inclusive Community Training programme, over 5,338 individuals have been trained through 417 workshops. 2,718 (51%) of the individuals trained to date have attended a workshop in this programme year. This is a fantastic achievement and clearly highlights the increased momentum for the programme, so thank you for your ongoing assistance in achieving this. Year 3 Case Studies and Management Accounts… As we approach the end of year 3 delivery (30th September 2016), please can we remind you that we need to receive a completed case study and set of management accounts for your workshops this year. Upon receipt of these documents, you can invoice EFDS for £100 for every workshop delivered to 15 people or more. The case study and management account templates can be downloaded from the programme partners page on our website (please remember this has replaced the secure area and you no longer need to log in to access it.) Year 4 Delivery… The 1st October 2016 marks the start of the fourth and final year of the Sainsbury’s Inclusive Community Training Programme. We will shortly be sending out relevant information for the final year of delivery and asking you to confirm contact details for the individuals who will be leading on the programme at your CSP. In the meantime, if you have any questions or suggestions for how we can better support you to arrange workshops and engage the target audience for the programme please let us know: [email protected] / 01509 227751. 1 year to go campaign… In the final week of September we will be releasing a news story each day to mark the final 12 months of the Sainsbury’s Inclusive Community Training. These stories will be focussed on the impact the training has had to date on various participants across the target audience groups. Please help us to share these stories and reach new networks by promoting them through your channels. If you can recommend any individuals for a news story please let us know: [email protected] / 01509 227751. England Athletics Mental Health Ambassadors… As you may have seen, England Athletics have launched a Mental Health Ambassadors programme which aims to establish a network of volunteer ambassadors in running groups across England. As these ambassadors are volunteers, often with limited formal training in physical activity delivery, why not invite any Mental Health Ambassadors in your area to your next workshop? More information and a full list of the ambassadors can be found here. If you have any questions, effective practice examples or would like to contribute to this update, please let us know: [email protected] / 01509 227751. Best wishes The Active Kids for all team
