• Students: Emerging Adults
– Challenge: perception of "feeling in between"- clear of the
struggles of adolescence and starting to feel responsible for
themselves, but still tied to their parents and family
• Parents/Family: Holding on and Letting go
– Challenge: wanting to help/be involved while needing to allow
room for student-to-adult development. Ex: parents shouldn’t
call/e-mail faculty but rather guide students to do so, if needed.
SUMMER HOMEWORK: Talk budgeting, time management,
outline academic and social expectations, review and help
students become familiar with policies/procedures.

2. assign what specific access each
person can have
3. Set/communicate a passphrase that
you use if calling these offices
4. Add parent e-mail for billing purposes
(students need to check MIX)
