Activity /Contest
A monthly challenge will be posted in the Maker Space area. Students will use their creativity to
complete tasks from the Anti-coloring Book. They will submit their entries and one winner will be
selected per month.

Display
A book display will be set up for all the prevention or awareness weeks that the counselors
promote.

Students are encouraged to showcase their talents without judgment. They sign up to sing, play an

Window Display
Promote reading through a super hero window display.

National Cupcake Day
Event
Recognize the top 75 readers by inviting them to a National Cupcake Day celebration. The culinary
arts club makes cupcakes and the top 75 readers decorate then eat the cupcakes.

Guessing Jar
Game
Just for fun: Have a Thanksgiving guessing game in which students guess how many items are in the
jar. Winner keeps the jar.

Write to a Friend
Event
Have writing instruments, notecards and envelopes to encourage students to write letters to their
friends.
