This sister aims to inspire a spirit of giving in
all
members throughout the collegiate experience
and utilizes creativity to educate chapter
members on the importance of giving and foster
a value in sisters of life-long giving while
showing members how the Foundation can
benefit them.

Appointed chapter position
Educates chapter sisters on the purpose of
the Alpha Xi Delta Foundation and regularly
updates them on opportunities made
available to them through the Foundation.
Coordinate the Undergraduate Giving
Challenge, Philanthropy, and Founders Day
Gifts.

Collaborate with the Academic Achievement Chair to
make chapter members aware of the Foundation’s
academic awards and encourage sisters to apply.
Collaborate with Publicity Chair to share with Greek
and college/university community when chapter sisters
are given scholarships, grants and awards by the
Foundation.
Lead chapter efforts in the Foundation’s undergraduate
giving challenge
Present a program once per semester at a chapter
meeting or retreat with active and new members
present.

The Foundation was established in
1957 with the leadership of
Mary Burt Nash, Alpha Xi Delta’s
National President 1957-1962.
She envisioned the Foundation
helping the Fraternity realize “greater
achievement in college life, greater
usefulness in society, and greater
significance in the lives of individual
members.”

Today the Foundation is fulfilling this vision
today furthering the Fraternity’s core purposes
of sisterhood, leadership, knowledge, and

This work is possible through gifts from
alumnae, collegians, friends and family,
chapters and associations, and investment

The Fraternity, National Housing Corporation
and Foundation are separate entities.
The Fraternity and National Housing
Corporation are 501(c) (7) social organizations.
The Alpha Xi Delta Foundation is a public
charity. Gifts to the Foundation are tax
deductible to the donor and must be used
solely for educational and philanthropic
purposes.

The Foundation’s Mission is to support the
Fraternity’s educational and leadership
development programming; provide
scholarships, grants and member support
funds; and encourage philanthropy.
In your lifetime, the Foundation’s assets have
tripled to over $5,000,000.
The Foundation is managed by Foundation
Trustees.
