Before the first game of the day at Muir North, Muir South, or LC FIS: After you have set up the goals, remove one white Game Card Envelope from the bin where the goals are stored and tie the envelope to the nearer goal net. The referee has this responsibility. (The statistician will perform this task at LCHS JV, McKinley, and Blair.) After the last game of the day at any of the Muir fields, LCHS JV, LC FIS, McKinley, or Blair: Untie the game card envelope and return it to the Clubhouse. The referee has this responsibility but may delegate it. Before each game: Each coach must give the referee team one game card, filled out with the team information at the top, the players' names and uniform numbers in the middle, and the game information at the bottom. During the game: The assistant referees mark the substitutions and goals scored on the front of their card. After the game: The referee team records the goals in each half and the final score at the bottom of both game cards; they decide on the sportsmanship points to award to each team and mark the back of the cards accordingly; and they print their name, team number, and code letter on the back of each card. Any misconduct is noted on the back too. The referees turn in both completed game cards either to the referee tent (at Victory Park or Area H) or to a white envelope attached to a goal net.
