DeinDeal was founded in 2010 as a provider of online
vouchers for restaurant deals in Zurich. It soon became clear
that the demand far exceeded the boundaries of Zurich and the
restaurant industry. Within just one year, the Zurich start-up
had become the No. 1 of the Swiss couponing business and
its range was steadily expanded. The fact that the start-up was
already taken over 60% by the Ringier Group one year after its
founding, underscores its success.
Since its foundation, the former Zurich start-up has changed
considerably. This is evident not only externally but also
internally: the structures are no longer the old ones, and the
tasks and requirements for the employees have also changed
with them. This leads to a large recruiting effort. This effort
would no longer be possible without recruitment software at all.

Such a recruitment software was already in use. The DeinDeal
team was, however, less satisfied with this: the applications
were better handled, but the tool was much too complex in the
application. The fact that you had to ‘push through a thousand
places until you got where you wanted,’ made recruitment only
a modicum more efficient. And in fact, the people in charge at
