Educational Institution and agree to
provide a Catholic role model for all
students in the performance of his/her
duties under this agreement. Further,
coaches agree not to engage in, nor
endorse publicly, any actions or beliefs
contrary to the teachings and standards
of the Roman Catholic Church, its
teachings and doctrine.

CPR certified

Contracts
Sign contracts today
All contracts are to be considered at will
and are one year long
 Submit list of coaches at all levels in your
program – volunteer coaches too!
Everyone must attend Protecting God’s
Children – including volunteers
 Please do not switch practice times based
on schedule – check with the athletic
office first


Practice Packs





Orders should be placed within the first two
weeks of practice – utilize online ordering!
Otherwise, you need permission to charge
student accounts (Google Forms now)
Please send to the athletic department for
approval
Just because it was approved last year,
doesn’t mean its approved this year
Keep low cost
NEVER take cash from a student or
parent
Brand Management
Licensing agreement with University of
Notre Dame
 Logos, including the interlocking ND and
leprechaun, cannot be used on anything
except apparel/uniforms for studentathletes and coaches only
 We may never sell anything with our logo
on it for profit
 Protect our brand or we can lose it!

Preferred Vendors
Our preferred vendors: EA Graphics,
Johnny Macs or Top Cat Sales
 NO WEB STORES WITH JOHNNY MACS
One of these three vendors should be able
to get you what you need. If not, new
vendor must meet in person with Athletics
before a quote is pursued









Physicals
Please send any student-athlete to the
athletic office who does not have a
physical - Don’t risk forfeiting a game!
Don’t cut one or two kids – Contact Betty
before you make any cuts
Senior loyalty
Anyone can save a life – Please practice
First Day of Practice
Include us on all correspondence (texts,
emails, etc) that go out to parents and
students. Use [email protected]
 Make sure all kids have permission to text
form on file

During the Season
Practice or game music must be approved
by athletic department – NOT DAY OF
 Communicate! Injuries, team dilemmas,
coach attendance
 Get a PO for everything or you will be
responsible

Ineligible Players
Ineligible players (due to the transfer
rule) practicing with the team need to fill
out an insurance waiver before beginning
official practice
 Parents need to know that their son or
daughter will not be covered by insurance

Parent Meeting
Hand out and talk through pre-approved
team rules and your coaching philosophy
 Place emphasis on varsity letter
requirements
 Have all financial information in writing –
including practice pack pricing, rental
fees, etc.
 Expectations/Consequences for missing
practice. Dismissal from team should
come from athletic office


Donations



The Advancement Office of NDPMA welcome
individual donations of cash, services or giftsin-kind. With that in mind, please don’t ask
parents for specific requests
Contributions should be consistent in nature
and intent with the Mission of NDPMA
Donor should express their interest to make
a donation to the Athletic Director and the
Advancement Director
Facility Responsibility
All student-athletes are to be supervised
in every facility
 Make sure you are the last to leave
 Double check that lights are off, doors are
locked, etc
 Take care and PRIDE in our facility! Pick
up trash, report maintenance issues

Facility Responsibility
Clean up after games – help with set up
and tear down
 Do not prop doors open
 No chairs on gym floor
 Take note of weight room rules

Transportation
Students are NEVER to drive themselves
to a contest.
 Do not play a player who drove
 Pay attention to attendance – budget
constraints could have forced us to move
to ‘drop only’
 Follow transportation policy – what is it
again?


season tournaments – even if your season
is done
 Hosting tournaments has many benefits
and we cannot do it alone. You know your
sport the best – we need your expertise!

